Dr. Lauren Foley

Meet the team at Eyes of North Scottsdale

Optometrist

Dr. Lauren Foley is made in the midwest. She grew up in Tinley Park, Illinois, and attended the University of Iowa, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology. While completing undergraduate studies, she volunteered over 100 hours at the U of I Hospitals and Clinics and was involved in the Women of Science and Engineering program. Dr. Foley attended the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago (the first established optometry school in the country!) and graduated with cum laude distinction and with clinical honors. While at ICO, she completed externships that focused on the specialties of surgical comanagement at Mid Florida Eye Center, ocular disease diagnosis and treatment at the Boston Jamaica Plain Veteran Affairs Medical Center, and contact lenses at the Brown Center in Rhode Island.

She earned membership into Beta Sigma Kappa International Honors Society and served as President of Tomb & Key, an honors fraternity that recognizes high academic excellence and promotes ethics within the optometric profession. Dr. Foley gained clinical experience as an Associate in various private practices and corporate settings for 10 years before pursuing her goal of establishing her own practice. Her previous employers and work families serve as invaluable mentors and friends today!

Her clinical interests include fitting multifocal contact lenses, dry eye treatment strategy, and early detection and prevention of Age-Related Macular Degeneration. She pledges to be a careful listener, maintain attention to detail while providing thorough evaluations, and be welcoming and accessible - making sure all of your questions are answered! Dr. Foley is a member of the Arizona Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association, and a member of Vision Source - a network of doctor-owned practices that collaborate to provide and preserve quality professional eye care.

Laura

Optician

Laura’s love of the optical world started the moment she put on her first pair of glasses when she was just 6 years old! This love grew when she started wearing contacts at the age of 10 and forever deepened when she became an optician in 2001. She’s been certified by the National Board of Opticianry since 2005 and enjoys keeping her certification current with continuing education.

Laura moved to Arizona in 2014, after being raised in Ohio then spending more than 15 years in Montana. She treasures her life in the desert as well as nearly all animals, family and friends, books and music, food and drink, and traveling. She’s thrilled to be a part of the Eyes of North Scottsdale family and is excited to get to know all of the patients! She is our team expert in all things optics and also has a great talent in adjusting eyewear for the perfect fit!

Holly

Patient Care Coordinator

Holly is an Arizona native with over 20 years experience in the optical industry, and brings a warm, customer focused approach to every interaction in the front office! Known for her dedication, attention to detail, and ability to make patients feel comfortable and cared for, she takes pride in creating a positive experience from the moment you walk through the door. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her amazing husband and beloved fur babies, and is always looking forward to the next adventure.
